Ambulance 8-1 is our primary response ambulance and is housed at Station # 1 in Oak Creek. It is a 2015 F-450 Ford/Wheeled Coach Type I ALS (Advanced Life support) equipped ambulance.

Ambulance 8-2 is our 2nd. out Ambulance. It is a 2003 F-350 ALS (Advanced Life Support) equipped Type I ambulance complete with a Life-Pak 12 defibrillator and a new Stryker power gurney. This unit was purchased new using a State of Colorado EMS Grant. It is currently housed at the Stagecoach Station.

Brush 8-15 is our primary wild land engine. It is a 2007 F-350 Type 6. It carries 300 gallons of water and has a 300 gpm pump. On board is a 20 person hand tool cache as well as a floating pump, chainsaw and backpack pumps.

Brush 8-17

Brush 8-17 is a Type 3 Wildland Engine. It is made available to the District through a cooperative agreement with the Colorado State Forest Service. It is a rebuilt 1966 Military 6X6 with a new low profile 1000 gallon water tank.

Staff 8-1 is a 2011 Ford Super Duty used by the District Chief. It is set up with first response medical equipment including an AED, airway management, and immobilization equipment as well as being equipped with  a roll out mobile Command Post.

Staff 8-2 is a 2000 Ford Excursion currently used by our EMS Supervisor.

Staff 8-3 is 2000 Suburban utilized by our Captain.

Engine 8-1 is an All – Wheel drive Rescue Engine and is our primary response unit for Structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and other technical rescues. It is a 2007 International with a 5 person cab with built in air pak seating, 1500 gpm pump and it carries 750 gallons of water. It has two on board 15 gallon foam tanks, and a complete compliment of extrication tools as well as other water and rope rescue equipment. It is equipped with 1000 feet of 5”, 1200’ of 2.5” and 600’ of 1.5” hose as well as a 1250 gpm remote controlled deck gun and a 6.5 kva on board generator It is the first new Engine purchased by the District since it’s formation in 1981 and was made possible by a $210,000.00 Energy Impact Grant.

Engine 8-2

Engine 8-2 is the primary response engine from the Stagecoach Station. It is a 1978 E-One. It was purchased new by the Town of Oak Creek when it was the Oak Creek Volunteer Fire Department. As part of an agreement with the Town the truck was given to the Fire District when it was formed in 1981. This unit was the primary response unit for the District until 1996 when the District purchased Engine 8-3. This unit has a 350 gal. tank and a 750 gpm pump. Engine 8-2 is currently being equipped with Large Diameter hose to better serve the Stagecoach area.

Squad 8-2

Squad 8-2 is a 2008 “Fast-attack” multi faceted response unit. This unit is equipped to respond to wildland fire calls as well as motor vehicle accidents with extrication tools, and minimal medical equipment. The unit is housed at the Stagecoach fire station.

Tender 8-1

Tender 8-2 is our backup Water Tender. It is a 1979 Ford with a 2500 gallon tank and has pumping capabilities. It carries a 2000 gallon collapsible tank so it can drop its load and go refill at a hydrant or other fill site.

Truck 8-2 is a 1985 Sutphen with a 100’ Aerial platform. The platform is equipped with 2 750 gpm nozzles and the truck has a 1250 gpm pump. This truck is housed at the Stagecoach station and was donated to the Fire District by Steamboat Fire Rescue and the City of Steamboat Springs
